Jay and Bill's Unnamed Band Project - Wisdom

I've forgotten how to love
I feel hollowed out inside
I've given up, I've had enough
And taken sorrow for my bride

My grandpa said
"There's just one rule
And It's not the kind of thing
They teach in school
Love is just a misunderstanding
Between two fools

I've remembered how to hate
I feel a burning in my heart
And it's not something I ate
I'm turning anger into art

My other grandpa used say
"Be particular when you choose
Which meant don't settle for just any old thing
For that's the surest way to lose

What am I gonna do?
I don't know what to choose

I've forgotten how to live
I feel lost and all alone
But I'm trying to forgive
The many villains I have known

It's like my father always says
Well, now that's funny
I can't think of just one thing
But I've seen just how he lives
And I think that he's a king
And that's enough to make me smile
And let my heart take wing
