Scarred Poetry - We Need God

This I declare about the Lord
He is my refuge
My place of safety
He is my God
And I trust him

Jesus saved my life
And here's my testimony
He's my only true friend
And all the rest are phony
They was smiling in my face
But speaking death on me
They said that they'll never Leave me
Then they left on me
But God never disappeared
He heard my prayers
He saw my tears in the struggle
And the he showed up there
Forgave my sins
Every thought
I didn't deserve it
He gave me courage
And equipped me
For a Holy purpose
He knows my limitations
Sinners never can be perfect
But Saying Jesus name
Will always make
The devil nervous
The Father always had a plan
Since the fall of man
To get to Heaven I'll repent
Do all I can
And I pray for those
Who haven't received you yet
Repent and turn to God
Your sins will only lead to Death
Jesus saved me and I know that He can free the rest
With every breath I have left
I'm willing to confess
I need God

We need God
We need God
We need God
We need God

You can try do it on your own Strength
I was Clark Kent
I wouldn't be sleeping
On this park bench
When your at rock bottom
You'll look up and see God's Face
Prostrate inside your heart
And you'll receive God's grace
So many people giving up
Because they lost faith
How much can I take when I'm Getting all of this hate
So many people judging me
From my past mistakes
It's seems better if
I Just passed away
The good thing is that God
Has the last say
He promises to restore me
And show me all the paths to Take
The only one in my life
Don't treat me like cast away
When I think how good God is
I can't get mad today
I don't get weary doing right
But the struggling makes me Tired
My mind is a battle field
And the devil is a liar
The world is a enemy
Of the Most High
And as I look in the sky
Crying out I realize
We need God

We need God
We need God
We need God
We need God
