Way up north she goes through her day
With no sun in the sky it seems so hard to stay
The cold wind blows through her tormented mind
Right in front of her, the peace she left behind
She reaches out to take it in
But the air is far too thin
All alone and petrified

The pain’s getting closer, her breath is hard to find
The pain is all over, it’s starting to unwind
The vision starts to fade
It’s getting harder every day
Her hands are feeling numb
The heart is beating like a drum

A flickering light shines down in the abyss
She knows she can’t keep living life like this
One step at a time she crawls out to the light
She’s found the strength and now it’s time to rise up tall and0 fight
She will not let it win
The darkness that lives within
She’s beautiful and strong
She sends the darkness back where it belongs
The pain is no longer, she gave it all away
The pain it is over, she’ll live another day
She’s free from misery
Though it was so hard to see
Now all the agony is gone
And she can finally move on
