Old at Heart - Joy

Maybe in your world
A beautiful pine tree lives along a mountain stream
Maybe in your world
You've got to beat the devil out of four inch brushes to get them clean
Four o'clock on a Tuesday
Escaping the world and school for a moment all too brief
At four twenty seven
Eyes open just in time to catch a glimpse of a masterpiece
Here is your bravery test
We don't make mistakes, we just have, well you know the rest
Maybe the art world
Will one day accept this work done quickly with a knife
Till then I can color the real world
Cadmium Yellow, Pthalo Blue, Van Dyke Brown
Titanium white
A little roll of paint on canvas; the joy of life
If I could only paint
A happy little cloud like Bob
I'd dream the world away
On a happy little cloud like Bob
If I could only paint
A cabin in the woods like Bob
I'd dream the world away
In a cabin in the woods like Bob
