We was aight for a while, until things went south
She told me she didn't love me anymore, and it got dry in my mouth

Every day was a battle just to keep going strong
And that's when I knew that love wasn't easy
It's difficult, excruciating and definitely not dreamy
Love is hard work, challenging, so much frustration
It's heartache, fighting, don't get me started on the devastation
Love is a killer, it will take your last breath
It will claw out your heart until there is nothing still left
Don't get me wrong love is amazing, you see love never ends
Love will teach you how to grow, forgive again and again
Love was the greatest thing I ever had the privilege to know
And the worst pain I experienced with all the trouble and woe
Love is extraordinary, in it is no sorrow at all
But the tumble can leave you bleeding, that's why they call it the fall
