G-Natural - Transition

Living in my life, it's a life of transition
I'm seekin' a transmission, can't find it cause it's missin
Living in my life, it's a life of transition, can't close the case
Stuck inside a liminal space, cause I'm
Living in my life, it's a life of transition
I'm seekin' a transmission, can't find it cause it's missin
Living in my life, it's a life of transition, can't close the case
Stuck inside a liminal space, yo it's a
Transition, transition it's a
Transition, transition it's a
Transition, transition
I'm living out my mission in this liminal space
Yo it's a transition, transition it's a
Transition, transition it's a
Transition, transition
I'm living out my mission in this liminal space
I used to be this, I used to be that
Used to be productive but for awhile ain't done jack
Used to be in part time ministry but it ended and now I'm
Wondering how much of my self-image was blended into
Fantasy of a pastor, was it props that I was after?
If identity comes through what I can do then the job is a disaster
Now I'm on a new assignment, I can see the ways I was blinded
Now I'm finding realignment, but it still feels like confinement cause
The new job is great but it cannot fully fund my vision, and
The brass ring opportunity still can't make a decision
So I'm trusting the Father and trying not to feel dumb
While I wait for something that might never actually come
Meanwhile I got bills to pay, gotta pass my car's emissions test
Workin' this nine to five but I still gotta walk my passion vision quest
Doubts just flail about my mental, actin' like unbidden guests
Not really sure what I got myself into, still takin' inventory what I been through
Maybe the best thing is investing in contentedness
Deemphasize the strife and start to search for signs that I am blessed
Despite my pain it's still a gift I'm alive, maybe I should
Settle down and get comfy like Jeremiah twenty nine verse five
The prophet told 'em they'd be there for awhile
'Cause his people were surviving under foreign exile
And they just wanted revolution and a plan of attack, but he told 'em
You just bless the city and it will bless you back
So that's the plan, even though it feels ad hoc
Bounce around like a lake does a flat rock
Shoot my shot, even when it's all half-cocked
Putting evil on trial, Matlock
Over trap beats with a little jazz rock
Or maybe yacht rock, plus John Locke
Toss in a couple jokes, knock knock
Throw in some bass and maybe
We'll have some fun, but I'm still in process cause my
Transformation ain't done, but I still see the sun
So until Jelani version two point oh is completed
I'll be stuck on version one point nine nine nine nine repeating
Living in my life, it's a life of transition
I'm seekin' a transmission, can't find it cause it's missin
Living in my life, it's a life of transition, can't close the case
Stuck inside a liminal space, cause I'm
Living in my life, it's a life of transition
I'm seekin' a transmission, can't find it cause it's missin
Living in my life, it's a life of transition, can't close the case
Stuck inside a liminal space, yo it's a
Transition, transition it's a
Transition, transition it's a
Transition, transition
I'm living out my mission in this liminal space
Yo it's a transition, transition it's a
Transition, transition it's a
Transition, transition
I'm living out my mission in this liminal space
Transition, transition it's a
Transition, transition it's a
Transition, transition
I'm living out my mission in this liminal space
Yo it's a transition, transition it's a
Transition, transition it's a
Transition, transition
I'm living out my mission in this liminal space
