Doug Adkins - Where I Come From

Out on that horizon, I can almost see tomorrow
Where the sunset meets the hillside, and the road begins to narrow
Cross the golden wheat fields on the other side of the sun
O'er the badlands and the rivers, where wild horses they still run
That's where we come from

Did you sleep under that big sky, it can become your best friend
From Montana through Wyoming, man you'll swear it never ends
A Lone coyote howlin, he's just a searchin' for his pak
The Northern Lights dancin' in the night, man this is where life's at

Where small town folk go to work each morning, still sit together at night
An a country boy can make an honest living, and the cowboy he still rides .. get up and ride

Every year about July time, the county fair comes around,
We all take out our best hat and we drive on into town
A couple hot dogs and a few cans of beer, and we're off to the rodeo
I hear the stock is really good this year, no cowboy's ever ridden that bull

Where small town folk go to work each morning, still sit together at night
An a country boy can make an honest living, and a cowboy he can still ride .. ya let's get up and ride

After the rodeo, it's to the Stage Coach, there's a country band they play fine
We'll have a 2 Steppin', slow dancing, maybe even romancing Country Boy kinda time
Probably sleep it off in my truck, hang my hat up for the night
With a little luck, the skies will be clear, and I can catch them Northern Lights

Where just a small town folk, go to work each morning, eat dinner together most nights
An a country boy can make an honest living, and the cowboy he still rides.. you gotta get up and ride

That's where I come from, That's where I come fromw
Cross the golden wheat fields on the other side of the sun
O'er the badlands and the rivers, where wild horses they still run
That's where I come from
