Griot B - Nothin is Nada

You wanna watch news on your TV? A Mexican helped make that color screen.
Alkaline batteries in your remote, made by a woman in Puerto Rico.
That good cream pie with banana pudding was made by Nunez from Honduras.
That rug that you rub your feet on, a Colombian made it with the yarn
That was spun up and wove by Maria in El Salvador.
That organic food from natural soil grown with Panama orange oil.
Aunt Becky can open wine with a corkscrew from a Chilean guy.
And that pen you're writing with was made by an Argentine immigrant.
If you think I mean they made these things in a factory because they labor best,
Then you failed the test. All these things were invented by Latinx.

What would LA be without Mexicans or those from Guatemala
What would New York Be without Puerto Ricans or Dominicanas
What would Texas be without Salvadoreans or Miami without Cubanos
What would America be without Immigrants? Nada Nada, Nada, Nada,
Nada Nada, Nada, Nada, Nada Nada, Nada, Nada,Nada Nada, Nada, Nada,

They built the shelf you put quarters on and invented an artificial corazon.
Plus, a bandage infused with cortisol. Or nicotine, any medicine
like Bengay - Comprende? They invented pen clip - and a stent.
Plus a SIM card reader when you put it in a cell phone
You know when you're on the internet in your home and you gotta put in a CAPTCHA code
So a virus won't eat your computer whole? Yeah, they made that. Yup Brown made that!
Latinos are more than just hard-working hands you invent and invent with a master plan
You helped build up this American land Every kid needs to know their mind is grand.

What would LA be without Mexicans or those from Guatemala
What would New York Be without Puerto Ricans or Dominicanas
What would Texas be without Salvadoreans or Miami without Cubanos
What would America be without Immigrants? Nada Nada, Nada, Nada,
Nada Nada, Nada, Nada,Nada Nada, Nada, Nada, Nada Nada, Nada, Nada,
