In Her Own Words - Out of Focus

What if we've been wasting all our precious time? We tried to stay between the lines. And what if this was for nothing at all? For nothing at all.

I think i'm in the way of progress. All my confidence is drained. And bad habits show their face when I'm reminded everyday that my efforts go unnoticed, picture out of focus.

We tried to stay afloat. Got caught in the undertow. We're hanging from a thread, seconds from the end.

What if we've been wasting all our precious time? We tried to stay between the lines. And what if this was for nothing at all? For nothing at all.

Stare at the ceiling until it falls down. I'm chasing a feeling I can't catch up to now. It's like I'm living the same day, stuck on repeat, knee deep. I'm facing the facts that I made a mistake.

We tried to stay afloat. Got caught in the undertow. I think we're hitting a wall.

What if we've been wasting all our precious time? We tried to stay between the lines. And what if this was for nothing at all? For nothing at all.

With our attitudes so inconsistent, melting under the summer sun. (Overlooked by everyone)

We never know where we are headed, sleeping til the moon comes up. (send me back to new york city, living this life on the run.)
Sick of second best, hanging from a thread, seconds from the end.

What if we've been wasting all our precious time? We tried to stay between the lines. And what if this was for nothing at all? For nothing at all.
