Freight - Daytime Television

So tell me, have you ever heard of a really good hook?
Well I’ve seen one that gets you after just one look
It seems today we’ve become addicted to our screens
And once you go big, it’s hard to come clean
This isn’t meant to be a bash on technology
I’m lining up the facts so we can look at this logically
So have yourself a seat and let me take you for a spin
Let’s analyze this world that we’ve trapped ourselves in
I’m talking daytime television
It’s all about the daytime television
We get lost in the daytime television
Well it’s been a couple hours and I haven’t left my house
And I’m getting kinda hungry, time to get off this couch
I go to the fridge for my left over Burger King and
(Oh god, that is… that is gross)
I need to throw it away but the garbage bag is full
Guess I gotta take it out why is life so cruel?
But now I’m back to binge my shows before my Netflix expires
And then it’s back to YouTube watching Super Hot Fire
Then it’s daytime television
More of that daytime television
I can’t escape that daytime television
Well now there’s something to be said about the music of our times
We’ve still got Bootsy and Vulfpeck laying down fresh rhymes
And I know I should probably be a little bit discrete
But what the hell is going on with that Greta Van Fleet?
I mean I’ve heard it before man you can’t fool me
Have you heard of something called originality?
But I don’t got room to talk cause I’m not tryna be funky
I’m just cooped up in my basement writing 2am dunkies
It’s all about daytime television
We’re back to the daytime television
What’s the deal with daytime television
Enough of that daytime television
I’m sick of all this daytime television
I can’t stop this daytime television
