Gonna attempt to make a name
Blacklight is the one I've chosen
I'm turning my pain into strengths

Writing is a part of me
When I feel lost, I write another refrain
Watching artists top the charts through pain is my inspiration

I don't have wordplay, but I'm building a frame
I play with words, linking them like a chain
I'm trying to build myself, but the thoughts still remain
Self doubt creeps in every day
A-maze-d that I can get lost in my own brain
I'm capable of thinking, I don't want to be fake
People today want to have 10 seconds of fame
I guess you could say they are digging their own grave
Doing things for the clout isn't the right way, just sayin

They're taking the latter, we're taking the rope
I'd rather have the latter, any day
When you build something up it doesn't fade
I'm chasing a dream while everyone doubts me
I'm okay with it, that means I have more to prove
