Homework is piling up and up on my desk
It's causing me a very high amount of stress
How am I going to complete this by tomorrow
I am filled with a deep deep sorrow
I was looking forward to spending time with friends
But that's not how this day is gonna end
I'll spend every waking hour finishing my work
And every single day this has occurred

Homework will destroy my mind

Sometimes I wonder why I'm alive
When all I do is homework every night
Why do I feel so depressed
I bet it's from all of this stress
I'm still a kid I'm supposed to go outside and play
But that's something that I cannot do today
I'm stuck inside working endlessly into the night
I guess I won't get any sleep tonight

Homework will destroy my mind

I guess it's important for me to know
That I am not alone
99% of students agree that they get too much homework daily
80% of students have stress-related symptoms
When it comes down to it
We are all just victims
At least I'm not one of the unlucky ones
Over 2/3 of students say that they have turned to drugs

And all of this, what was it for
It only brings a three-point increase in test scores
Homework is plainly too stressful
For it to be beneficial
It's unhelpful
