Calm Canopy - Confines

I think I'll sink back into my bed
It'll be a while, so I sleep instead
Before it's my time to do what I do best
I think I'd be fine, it would clear my head
Clear my head
So I sink right back into my space
Dreaming of the day that I choose to stay
Wide awake with my one-seeing eye
Sees I'm free to fly back to my place
This is my pace and I'm feeling fine
I'm feeling fine
And these numbered days-
I'm counting them pass me by
I'm feeling fried
Redefine the confines of my case
Got a little nervous, thought I'd be coming to the surface
Belly up, but hey…
I can stay focused, but just not on this
I'm wasting time on it
And the regret
Well it just makes a fist to kiss my upper lip
Just not cut out for this
"Put your money where your mouth is"
But I gotta lie, there's no money where my heart is
So I try to speak my mind when I got free time
Like I'm supposed to…
Shine on a weeknight
After long days and I'm watching them pass me by
Now I'm feeling fried
Wish I was born to be a scientist or something
