John D. Contradiction - Freedom

A lot of people tend to live in imagination and fairy tales
Then they let it all go over scary males
Or females, derails, pre-sales, not knowing we smell
But if we blink, a little too fast, we miss details
And end up bitter towards a full life, forgot to inhale
We spent so much time on a life, forget the exhale
Focus on chest swell, or If both of our pockets are well
Forgetting to tell our truth, get stuck in this hell
White knuckle fist tales, they balance this scale a pissed shell
Like girls with pigtails, look like they missed hell, it miss tells
Black men with pistols, confused with boys protecting new shoes
For us theres no rules, if we could, which ones would you choose
We end up confused, shedding red, get shot by blues
Get called dogs, no mans best friend, without no clues
We crab n leech off the people we have, we call it crews
Sometimes in life theres nothing to gain nothing to lose
Now thats freedom
A lot of people tend to panic buy cottonelle
Clear off the shelves, cause the CDC wasn't sure theyselves
You don't a need mask, now theyre sold out, don't kiss and tell
Living in hell stuck at home, now isnt this swell
You hate your job and you hate your kids, you hate your wife
Your husbands been on your whole last nerve, try not to fight
Now out in the light, but when at work, theres none insight
Or maybe your job just laid you off, sex work at night
Follow this insight, people are not bright, its not right
Oh now youre tryna be a symbol of peace?, figured we all might
Or maybe you started being productive, read and write
Or taking this time to cut people off, just out of spite
Or share conspiracies, complain about fear, the price of life
Complain about all of the people outside, so what is life
I try to tell myself that human kind will all be alright
But that kind of thinking makes us unprepared for a fight
Now thats freedom
A lot of people claim depression, and i don't blame em
Try to think of the way we are treated, were named but nameless
We're chuggin jameson, wash away feelings, we're broke and shameless
We act the same as the people that we watch, because there famous
Enough to take care of family and friends, most of them hate us
They say we the fans that made it all possible, also blame us
Ignoring the hands that pay for agendas, push negativity
Ignore the folks with actual talent, skip creativity
I see it vividly, like masterplanning, but as imagery
An industry, just selling some stardom, so buy it instantly
Preying on those they know will just bite, make sure the children see
Saying that you can pop over night, and theres no mystery
See all this gets to me, a 360 deal in the recipe
Signin away your masters, and your soul, for an investment see
The problem is they payed you off once, they knew you needed it
And profit even after you fall, its there's to keep and thats freedom
