Christopher Shellhammer - War Is Poison

The days are sad and shady
There's a heavy dark smog all around us
There's a ghostly child glowing and wandering
In the middle of the black pebble road
Between me and the mountains

The child said
The poison mind starts the war
It all began many years ago with a bully in the playground
The sky is crying blue
The earth is bleeding red
With sorrow and sadness

All because of a poisoned mind
Belittling you
Does not care about you
Does not care about the animals
Does not care about the harmony of life

The child said
The Bully's heart is filled with poison
The Bully's eyes are blinded with poison
The Bully's tongue is riddled with poison
The poison makes his mind vain
The poison makes his heart vain
The poison makes his life vain

The child said
The poison mind starts the war
It all began many years ago with a bully in the playground
The sky is crying blue
The earth is bleeding red
With sorrow and sadness

All because of a poisoned mind
Belittling you
Does not care about you
Does not care about the animals
Does not care about the harmony of life

The child said
To end the war
We have to do this together
Put the poison mind into the box and lock the lock with a chain
And write a note on the box
War, what is it good for?
War, what is it good for?
War is poison
Be kind to one another, do not open the box ever again
