Ultramonk 9 - Aint Easy Being MEan (feat. King Krooked Kane)

Mean ole soul
Was a merry ole soul
Was a mean ole soul was he

Was a mean ole soul
Was a merry ole soul
Was a mean ole soul was he

Here's a li'l story 'bout the greatest nigga never known
Who had a once golden heart trapped in black & blue stone
Some believe he was a savior, brought the kingdom fortune and fame
But at what cost and for what price did this king pay to reign

They say he murdered his brother
To one day claim the throne
Pushed him down a wishing well
And waited long till he was gone

Now that he had tripped, dipped and slipped and got his boots wet
There's just no stopping dropping this creepin' new habit
With atrocities that can never be forgiven
He made deals with sick spirits and other dark decisions

Ain't easy being mean
Ain't easy being king

So now he lushes life of comfortable slow agony
Stuck hanging low from a guilt and grimy regret tree
Burning others dreams to the ground just to keep the fire lit
Who wouldn't he betray to keep and hide his bullshit
What sort of man does this and then one day saves billions
With water, power, food and tools to build a better nation
He hugs your children endorses their education
All awhile he gets rich off their indoctrination

Don't get high on your own supply or you'll be sorry
It's a metaphor refer-ring to the eye see
And what lies inside and beneath what you think you really see
In yourself and therein lies the silly farce absurdity

Its tough to be king
It's hard to be seen
It ain't easy being mean

Ain't easy being me
Its tough to be king
It's hard to be seen
It ain't easy being mean

Ain't easy being me
Its tough to be king
It's hard to be seen
It ain't easy being mean

Ain't easy being mean
Its tough to be king
It's hard to be seen
It ain't easy being me

You may think I may just be that cruel and crafty crooked king
If I was, do you want to know bad enough to ask me
Is it good to be King is it fully stacked up to the dream
Am I happy? If you was king what would you sing

Its tough to be king
It's hard to be seen
It ain't easy being mean

Ain't easy being me
Its tough to be king
It's hard to be seen
It ain't easy being mean

Ain't easy being me
Its tough to be king
It's hard to be seen
It ain't easy being mean

Ain't easy being mean
Its tough to be king
It's hard to be seen
It ain't easy being me

Who knows what evil lurks in man beside his victim
You'd have to ask and yes you'd have to trick him
And now we come to where this crooked winding road bends
And so it does til next time and so the story ends...

Nine times and then again
