With the advent of crazy new technology that lets us ask a little box in the corner of the living room to look up a song for us, there are some songs that come up time and again (and those that don’t).
Last month, Amazon released their list of the songs which users asked the Echo version of Alexa to find most often for them in the preceding 30 days. Now, with 2017 about to tied off with a neat little bow, the online retailer has released their definitive ranking of the top Alexa lyric requests for the year.
Without further ado, the top 10 lyric requests of 2017 - or, the top 10 songs people referred to as “that song that goes…” - featuring Ed Sheeran...twice:

Amazon also published a full list of the top 40 songs that Alexa was tasked with finding this year, which included new tracks from The Chainsmokers, Demi Lovato and Kendrick Lamar, as well as more classic entries from acts like Jay-Z.
