What is the point of citing a source as bad as this one?
All I see are people looking for fights, getting some
But none of them are patient enough to wait for outcomes
Their actions I can hear from miles away like a drum
I don't like just how things are going down right now
"How to fix the system" people ask, I know how
I can hear a silent voice from years ago, it's loud
And because I hear that, I always know the sound

Hold on, wait a minute, wisely pick your words
In the distance, a silent voice can be heard
You didn't have to do this, but it's drama that you've stirred
You to not do this, I would've just preferred
Opening the secret locks like opening with keys
Verses long like I'm in the park looking at trees
I have been here doing this, I am rightfully free
And that's a point too, I don't even need a plea

Now I just see lying, that is what I hate
When will this hate train stop, I need a date
If we think about it though, a long while we will wait
Because these people's heads are light, opposite of freight
Shooting shots at these people but there are no drive-bys
Feeling happy, I might just look up at the sky
Never mind, all I see is smoke, I just sigh
At the end of the day, when does the government ever comply?

But now I understand that we all have thrown the law
Down through the government's lovely carpeted floor
I thought this was enough, clearly they want more
It has happened so many times, it's happened a lot
Why do they try again and take more shots?
It's like the system has fallen down block by block
Now we have an empty box that got caught on clocks

This song was sparse just like a farmer's field
The government's actions are also sparse, I'm not appealed
But really what is going on, is it really real?
Nothing today is ever packaged properly and sealed
In the government's eyes, everything is good
Not good for the people living down in the hoods
Now I'm really out here and I'm hard like wood
Don't take that line wrong, but I know you would
