Svlace - count my blessings

Sometimes I just trick myself, so I will seem happy
But I wish the ignorance was everlasting
When I think about it, there's a lot I should smile for
I'm healthy, my family's healthy, I really should smile more

You'll never catch me smiling if it isn't true bliss though
Thankful for my loved ones, shout out the kinfolk
And that goes for my friends too, grateful for my things too
It hits me like a stun gun when I think of what God sent forth

You could say I'm blessed, but that would be an understatement
Trying to express my gratefulness and appreciation
May come off ungrateful of what I have and my creation
But sometimes I just get caught up in what I've been making
My advice is everyone has vices, don't fall to facades
No one's perfect, don't feel worthless
Embrace your impurities and flaws
Use them to your advantage, remember I felt abandoned
Then I used it as content and made my most treasured songs

Sometimes I just trick myself, so I will seem happy
But I wish the ignorance was everlasting
When I think about it, there's a lot I should smile for
I'm healthy, my family's healthy, I really should smile more

You'll never catch me smiling if it isn't true bliss though
Thankful for my loved ones, shout out the kinfolk
And that goes for my friends too, grateful for my things too
It hits me like a stun gun when I think of what God sent forth

Never met my grandparents on my dads side and my mom's dad past to cancer
Same winter, I was dancing with the devil, man, depression had me thinking slanted
Had no direction like freelancers, yelling to the heavens, but I didn't feel answered
I was so alone till I started thinking logical
Like I have a home with a roof and a lot to hold
Got people who do care and visions I haven't seen yet
So I vowed to make my reality like a movie set

Sometimes I just trick myself, so I will seem happy
But I wish the ignorance was everlasting
When I think about it, there's a lot I should smile for
I'm healthy, my family's healthy, I really should smile more

You'll never catch me smiling if it isn't true bliss though
Thankful for my loved ones, shout out the kinfolk
And that goes for my friends too, grateful for my things too
It hits me like a stun gun when I think of what God sent forth
