The other day I got given a nice aquarium
I thought well that'll be nice to try
They're only fish, I bet they're easy to take care of
Low maintenance, low stress and cheap

No
We get the tank home and we fill it up with water
It's fine if we get it straight outta the tap
We go to the shop and we get some little fishies
And we throw them right in, thinkin' that'll be that

I go and check to see how they're doing an hour later
They're still and lying on the ground
Great

I don't know
I just don't know
What went wrong this time
Let's make it work
This time they all will survive
I'll make sure that they don't die
This time

All-right-y then, I figured out what I'm supposed to do next
I've researched all that I need
Cycled the tank, for two months and done all the water testing
Just to be sure when there's more

I get some more fishies and they seem really happy
Swimming all around and enjoying the space
I feed em just enough, try not to overfeed them
And I'm careful not to stress em out maintaining the place

Just when I thought I was starting to get the hang of this stuff
I still lose 4 in a week
Damn

There is nothing I can do to save them

It's Swim bladder disease
Then you got white spot or ick
Then there is fin rot, that's nice
Then you gotta make sure that the Ph level is correct, not only that but you got the Ammonia, nitrate and nitrite to keep level or they literally just die
Oh and god forbid if you overfeed them
It's more likely to kill them than starving them seriously!
All of the above, along with what I like to call mystery illnesses will kill your pet fish
Just don't bother
If you get a fish, it will die, if you love a fish, it will die, it will die just like my hopes and Dream
The experience has crippled my confidence.It's just not worth the effort
Just buy a cat or something
