King Reef - Fish Face

End of the dock
Smoking alone
Sun going down
Ignoring my phone
Then there was a splash
And up on the dock
Jumped up a fish
Imagine my shock
The fish wished for a smoke
And he held out his fin
Stood like some sort of fella
Flashed me a grin
He asked for a light as I fulfilled his wish
I said "You're well-spoken, considering you're fish"
I was sitting at a dock
Talking to a fish
Sharing a smoke and some life
Oh, what a mighty fine fella
I asked him "What do you do?"
He said he's in school
"Junior or senior?"
"No, I'm of the sea!"
I asked him what happens
Below the wine dark sea
He sighed and closed his eyes and said
"Another time, if you please"
Then he finished his smoke
Said "I'm the fish of the day"
Looked deep in my eyes, said
He must be on his way
Heavy was my heart but I knew that it must be
My new friend's spirit must be free
"Before this has passed, may I ask you on thing at last?"
"I need a silver flask, a picture of a girl, and a pint of Hennessy"
I was sitting on a dock
Talking to a fish
Sharing a smoke and some life
Oh, what a mighty fine fella
Sitting on a dock
Talking to a fish
Sharing a smoke and some life
Oh, what a mighty fine fella
