Charleene Closshey - Galileo

I'm too far north to see the Southern Cross,
but on a clear night I can find Orion.
It's not that i know much about the stars at all,
but i like trying... trying.

Some people get to live a thousand lives,
and even gone they last a thousand more.
It's like their history just multiplies:
a force of will, a stroke of luck, but what a score.

Galileo, what were you thinking? What were you seeing?
Did it frighten you sometimes? You might be a fool.
Did you stand beneath the moonglow to change the world? Impress the girl?
Or were you just sleepless and needing something to do?

How did you fill your time on nights it rained
when the dark looked like a right hook bruise?
Could you close your eyes and see it clear,
memorized and stretching all in front of you?

That must be a real amazing thing,
to know the Heaven's like the back of your hand.
I keep picking up this old six string
trying to capture a glimmer of that.

Galileo, what were you thinking? What were you seeing?
Did it frightening you sometimes? You might be a fool.
Did you stand beneath the moonglow to change the world? Impress the girl?
Or were you just sleepless and needing something to do?
Tell me, Galileo

Did you stand beneath the moonglow to change the world? Impress the girl?
Tell me, Galileo
Cause I'm out here sleepless and dreaming and searching and reaching and wanting and needing something to do GalileoGalileo.
