Lynda Dobbin-Turner - I Love This Life

Every now and then I get to whining that
Not a single day has enough time in it
No time for fun because we work so hard
No time for play because we're just too tired
Seems like sometimes in this life we're living
We're not getting nearly what we're giving
So busy trying to make it to the top
But every now and then I've got to stop
And take a look at everything around me
And all the precious treasures that surround me
And if I take the time to see all that is right
I see how I love this life
I got the sun peaking over those trees each day
And a house nestled in the hills
I've got the magic colors of spring and fall
And I can dress for the winter chills
I got people here that I just adore
And that love's reflected back
So, if I ever start to slip a bit off track
I remind myself of all that's going right
And how I love this life
You know the bills will just keep going higher
With all that we feel that we need to acquire
We got to realize that it's just stuff
We have to learn to say enough's enough
You and I need time to breathe
'Cause we've got everything we'll ever need
And I know I am going to be just fine
As long as I have got your hand in mine
And if I stop and look at everything around me
And all the precious treasures that surround me
When I take the time to see all that is right
I see how I love this life
I got the sun peaking over those trees each day
And a house nestled in the hills
I've got the magic colors of spring and fall
And I can dress for the winter chills
I got people here that I just adore
And that love's reflected back
So, if I ever start to slip a bit off track
I remind myself of all that's going right
And how I love this life
You and I have got to promise
That we'll do our best
To treasure everything we've got
Remember how we're blessed
I got the sun peaking over those trees each day
And a house nestled in the hills
I've got the magic colors of spring and fall
And I can dress for the winter chills
I got people here that I just adore
And that love's reflected back
So, if I ever start to slip a bit off track
I remind myself of all that's going right
And how I love this life
How I love this life
How I love this life
