Leezola Smith and Poetic Lace - Immanuel

Intro: (Leezola Smith)
Turn it up please.
A little more please.
Thank you.

1st Chorus: (Leezola Smith)
Immanuel Isak Smith.
Your father and I want wrote this song to share our love with you,
and give you words of wisdom.
Hold these words, close to your heart, and never let them go.
When you get lonely and fearful, just remember, the LORD will always be with you.

1st Verse: (Poetic Lace)
Immanuel my baby boy,
My first born,
I love you son with everything that’s in me,
You’re knitted to my heart and dwell in my brain
You’re my little shadow, my Manny man
Let’s go back to the night you we’re conceived
I had a dream that an angel came and said congratulations
That next week at the king shoot your mom was super tired
You were in the womb and life’s about to change
Before that were prophecies, and real visions and dreams,
All about your coming, so we waited for the day
You’re a miracle, your mom will tell that story
I can say you beat the odds and God’s hand is on you...

I had a dream that I was in a castle,
and God was sitting on the throne.
He asked me if I wanted a boy or a girl.
I said I want a beautiful, healthy, wise baby.

2nd Chorus: (Leezola Smith)
One day while pregnant with you, I’m reading my word and the Holy Spirit said to me,
“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged, For the Lord your God
Will be with you wherever you go”.
And it’s in that moment that I decided to always share this scripture with you. Joshua 1:9

2nd Verse: (Poetic Lace)
I’m a strong man,
but I kiss you on your cheeks
A proud dad,
So I watch you as you sleep
I remember seeing mom’s belly grow
I was tripping more than anybody knows
You were kicking and flipping and twisting and turning,
Your momma was happy, and hungry, and fussy
The time came, her water broke
We’re flying down the road its exciting tho
My job was to motivate your mom
Encourage her spirit and keep her mental space strong
And When you came out they put you on my chest,
Our hearts synced, my soul was so blessed...

I passed out when you came into this world though. As I watched you come out of your mom’s womb, I literally felt everything leave my body. It was a new beginning.

3rd Chorus: (Leezola Smith)
Never be afraid to stand alone for what you know and believe the Lord is calling you to do. You will be tested, you will be tempted, and you will be tried.
But in all things, be bold, have faith,
Be steadfast and unmovable in the Lord.
Wise as a serpent but as gentle as a dove,
Forever trust in His love.
