Limits of that little bitty town
Cars fly by on the interstate they may stop for a bite but they never
Stay and it seems like that sign has always read 205
It don't grow but it won't die most people live there all there lives
Where the people are honest the water is clean and the livings right
But I was young and I knew it all and I was sure that a number would
Fall and leave em' one digit shy of population 205

The definition of a sleepy town Sunday would come and no one was
Around but only slightly slower than a Saturday night
Gas station café and grocery store that's all they needed but I wanted

I guess I grew a little restless living the small town life

To my surprise they never changed the sign
204 is what I thought it would say
