We know if we try too hard we'll fail
So we cut all our losses and rode for the sunset foothills

So before they came looking we got down to some rest and repair

We would hang out in the park

But it didn't take too long
Til the songs that we weren't sing left a stinging little lingering want
To move on
Been hangin' round with a different crowd
Goin' places moving town to town
So many places that the faces start to look all the same
It sure was aces but it's good to be back home again
We know if we try at all we'll win
