They were friends, they were just three young soldiers
All of them with families, kids and wives
Working hard to pay the bills from overseas
They were sent to die for no just cause

Their whole lives were burnt in one foul night
All of them became their countries' heroes

They woke up one night and war was there
Fire rained
Like hell just erupted from the earth

They were lying on the ground together
Still alive but with not much time left
They tried to grasp the inner sense of all of this
But everything now faded fast to dark

Still around them was the sound of a battlefield
Guns ablazing, bombs and louder cries
The combat medics rushed to them with agony
And carried them inside a makeshift tent
