C. Chris Lyrics and Profile

Chris Brown, who taught himself to sing and dance at a young age, signed to Jive Records in 2004 which saw him release his self-titled album the following year. The album eventually reached number two on the US Billboard 200 Chart, with first hit single Run It! making Brown the first solo male artist since Montell Jordan to have his debut single go to number one on the US Billboard Hot 100 Chart.

With the interest surrounding his music rapidly growing, it was the release of second album Exclusive in 2007 that cemented his place as one of the music business’ finest performers. The album gave rise to three hit singles; Kiss Kiss, With You and Forever. The success of the album was illustrated by the double-Platinum certification it received. Brown’s third and fourth albums, Grafitti in 2009 and F.A.M.E. In 2011 were both well received by music fans, regardless of the controversy surrounding the singer’s private life with Rihanna. The latter was to be Brown’s first number one album on the US Billboard 200 Chart, spawning huge hits such as Beautiful People and Look At Me Now.

To promote his fifth studio album, Fortune, the talented musician took part in several award show performances and interviews across the US. All five singles released from the album have taken the charts by storm, with the fifth (Don’t Judge Me) peaking at number 10 on the US Billboard R&B Singles Chart and enjoying similar chart success across the globe.

Brown's sixth studio album, X, features an appearance from Kendrick Lamar and production from Diplo and Danja. In 2015 came his first ever collaborative studio album, working on Fan of a Fan: The Album alongside Tyga.

The negative media attention which centered on his private life has not taken credit away from his music, however, as Brown has enjoyed many awards nominations and victories. His trophy collection consists of three American Music Awards, 15 BET Awards, five Billboard Music Awards, one Grammy Award, two MOBO Awards, three MTV Video Music Awards and many other notable accolades.
