Biggie Oof - Composure

I took a trip to the grocery store
Made up my list of needs I could afford
Put it all in my cart, and a little more
'Cuz you can't ever shop without getting more
Now I've finished shopping, my stuff's in my cart
My milk, my eggs, my box of fudge Pop-tarts
So it is for the cashier checkout lines I dart
Gotta pay for my stuff in the grocery mart
Oh, here's hoping
This will be easy going
This whole adulting thing
Hope this will soon be over
With the help of my grocer
I'll keep my composure
My feet start goin' and my heart, it pounds
And when I get to the register, I'm the only one around
And I'm watching my stuff glide down the conveyer belt
Beep, beep, beep goes the checkout thing
The cashier is trying to converse with me
As she slides open a bag, puts my stuff inside
And I'm watching my total as it goes up
Man, being an adult really sucks
And I'm
Not feeling quite fly
Oh, here's hoping
This will be easy going
This whole adulting thing
Hope this will soon be over
With the help of my grocer
I'll keep my composure
Now I feel the urge to run away
As I stare down my total, 'cuz I have to pay
And I don't wanna have to slide my credit card
But cautiously I open my skinny wallet
And I pull out my card, and I glance upon it
And then I slowly swipe it on the reader thing
And it lets out a happy beep
And now I put all the bags in my shopping cart
This adventure is over and I feel pride in my heart
I've finally done an adult thing
Mom, aren't you so proud of me?
I'm all done
This battle's won
Store zero me one
Oh, it was quickly over
With the help of my grocer
I kept my composure
