Krissy Matthews - Long Haul Flight
It’s my long haul flight,
moving through the night.
Its an ever lasting, never ending fight.
All of the shows I do,
I need to make a connection.
Feel some arms around me in the dark,
to give my soul protection.
Never cared for flashy gear,
or any kind of styling.
Scared that I might fade away,
when the sun comes smiling.
So many meals I eat, I hate being by myself.
Nobody to talk to, I’m in a kind of hell.
Every single town I reach;
I look for some companion.
To share the empty hours,
until my fear is gone.
Hoping that it’s the right one,
Keep longing for the touch.
Amongst a thousand faces,
you never have too much.
But it’s just another number,
Every time I score.
They burn and then they go out,
leave me wanting more.
