Ogre's Revenge - MARGUERITE NELLIGAN

I once found a slug and choked him to death
Since I keep seeing my hands around his neck
I drink the rain when the sky is stained
My stomach aches when the glass is drained
I hate the flowers that hide in my hair
They grow and grow, and die from despair
High screams resonate inside my chest
Should've used a blade, could've reached the crest
Everything I ever touched turned to blood pool
Murder every second at least the blossom looks cool
Momma was a nurse, didn't escape the curse
Had just stepped out the train wagon heard her scream, final verse
Power, I had felt for the first time
As hair rubbed shoulders with petals for the first time
Twisted, brain was born with this sick thirst
A kid was optimistic, but it just got worse
At first required effort, required tools
Now a simple touch even dust turns to jewel
Father was a poet, genius at his lowest
Institutionalized, feared coming out the closet
Damn coward, couldn't even reach the top of the tower
Stood still, hoping destiny would devour
Couldn't do it himself he was lactose intolerant
Raped then killed by the baby, at least he was operant
I once found a slug and choked him to death
Since I keep seeing my hands around his neck
I drink the rain when the sky is stained
My stomach aches when the glass is drained
I hate the flowers that hide in my hair
They grow and grow, and die from despair
High screams resonate inside my chest
Should've used a blade, could've reached the crest
Now anything my fingers touch suffers to death
When in sight even banshee holds its breath
Water and daisy flowers swam from the depths
Vitalized nervous system better than meth
I was a week old, soul already sold
Hundred homicides, baby out of control
Rootless by the forest, still child was bold
Raised by the most lovely flowers, story unfolds
Guardian angel introduced me to sky
But only thing that doesn't die, had me fearful of why
Snow came in July, thinking it's all a lie
I can't deny became shy, no more seeing eye to eye
Slaughter, unaffected, thoughts began to alter
What if for all this, they were the author?
Mind traumatized, trust grew smaller
Until I had the encounter that made my vision broader
Gorgeous colors, landscape and all its shapes
Sitting there observing, as god rolled the tape
Out of nowhere, a man tried to escape
About to launch off a cliff but didn't wear no cape
No alert, no movement, not even a scream
His eyes turned on me, felt like a light beam
Somehow was enough to communicate the scheme
Grabbed him by the artery, saved his life, didn't fit the theme
