Bobby Blaze - So Far Gone

Yo, some might feel this, some won't, look

I'm walking down this road, trying to find my home
Lost myself long ago, now I'm so far gone
Darkness clouds my mind, tries to take my life
Can't confide in no one, 'cause I feel so far gone

Swear I'm trippin on myself yet again
Walkin down a long road that been riddled with sin
Lost in bottles of gin and more addictions within
And every sunset I wonder if I'll see it again
It's like I'm destined to commit the sin of multiple felonies
I could have been gone but maybe the Lord is testing me
My tendency is reckless, G. A menace to society
So much pain within my brain but I never found the remedy
Rather be sedated heavily and on the recline
But these spirits and these xanies got me losin my mind
I still hustle and grind to get up out of this bind
But I see that all my scratch feeds these addictions inside
Stuck in the steady decline but I call it my zone
Nose steady itching while they cutting the coke
Lost in thought twisting 'dro like I been here before
I never even thought I was gone this far

I'm walking down this road, trying to find my home
Lost myself long ago, now I'm so far gone
Darkness clouds my mind, tries to take my life
Can't confide in no one, 'cause I feel so far gone

These habitual rituals come with mental residuals
Just a restoration of my sanity would take a miracle
Addiction leads to pain and situation critical
Soul feeling more flames than Shadrach, Meshach or Abednego
I still feel like I lost my soul along this road I'm walking
And realize it's been a while since me and God been talkin
I heard the devil knocking through them bottles I was poppin
Then start to realize that it was I who was the problem
God, we ain't been walking but I'm down on my knees
And everyone around me says I got a disease
I took twelve steps but relapsed cause that was all me
But this time I'm asking Father God deliver me
Take away my tendencies, me Hennessey and my pain
Only you can stop the rain and make me smile again
Dirty hands raised high, God, take me out the game
I been so far gone, save me, in Jesus name

I'm walking down this road, trying to find my home
Lost myself long ago, now I'm so far gone
Darkness clouds my mind, tries to take my life
Can't confide in no one, 'cause I feel so far gone

The fog is gone and God restored my soul
He also restored my mind but it's still a long road
This time I'm strong and sober though, I'm in the back, Christ in control
I'll take the love that God gave me and send it to those in the cold
The feeling is remarkable, blessed assurance
And staying prayed up prevents addiction resurgence
It gets vicious like serpents but that's just on the surface
Jesus ripped us out the gutter and gives value to the worthless
He can resurrect our purpose just like sight to the blind
And ain't no coincidence, it's intelligent design
He gave me the light and it's my job to let it shine
Especially to those struggling with addictions like mine
Ain't no need to rewind, I'm moving on on this road
The Lord can fix your brokenness and still restore your soul
Some things are hard to let go but not when God's in control
Homie, just remember, ain't nobody too far gone

I'm walking down this road, trying to find my home
Lost myself long ago, now I'm so far gone
Darkness clouds my mind, tries to take my life
Can't confide in no one, 'cause I feel so far gone

I know it's hard, but you're not alone
