EnGee - From the 60's To Now

I was a child in the sixties
By the decades end a teenager
Then came cars and girls and
School and booze
They gave me a key in 75
It opened a door and
I went through
my childhood was no more
I stepped through
Walked inside before I knew
My adulthood grew
And hit me square blindside
A rapid fire frenzied 70's
Then a wife a career a house and such
The 80's passed then the 90's
It all seemed such a blur then the
Millennium hit
This decade I make 50 shit
What happened to the kid from the sixties
When did that all happen
Change a thing not a thing
Can't change it anyway
I'm not sad nor am I mad
Just miffed the times away
So look back in admiration
Anger does no good
Look what's next snatch its strap
And ride it through the night
Damn that darkness Thomas cried
Rage till dark is light
For this way once we pass
We know it doesn't last
I'm not sad nor am I mad
Just miffed the times away
For even now I hear my self
A child again at play
And see that boy from the 60's
And smile
That he got to now.
