Flash Gordon's Adventures In Music - The Trap Of Time

I looked at my calendar today
Saw it'd been three months
Three whole months since I laid the traps on down
I was feeling good about the fact
That they seemed to work
Lately I hadn't seen many roaches around
Then I started feeling bad
Not because I wiped them out
Because it seemed like it was yesterday
I laid those traps on down
A friend of mine arrived today
He drove from California
He saw I was uptight, he offered a ride back to me
It's not that I'm afraid of Texas
Or I wouldn't like to go
It just seems I haven't got the time
So I shook my head no
Then again I was feeling bad
Not because I didn't go
Because it seemed it was yesterday
I could pack my things and go
Man does time fly by
It seems like it was just a week ago
It's a fact I'm getting old
Man does time fly by
My lady friend said to me
You know what day this is?
My mind went blank but not because I couldn't pass the quiz
I've always been good with numbers
This one scared me bad
To think that had been eleven whole years
Well I felt a little sad
Not because I didn't love her
Or thought that there's girls I'd missed
It's just that those years flew by so fast
Just like a fleeting kiss
Man does time fly by
It seems like it was just a month ago
It's a fact I'm getting old
Man does time fly
Woman does time fly by
It seems like it was just a year ago
It's a fact we're both getting old
Woman does time fly by
Man does time fly by
Woman does time fly by
