RockTown Blues - Road Time Blues

Some people live their life
Driving down the road
Some people in big rigs
Some with smaller loads
But the road continues on
We can hear the tires hum
It can be a hectic place
Or a peaceful ride in the sun

The hours fly by everyday
As we drive the routes we choose
We can try to have a good day
Or we face the road time blues

Early in the morning
We drink our coffee down
We eat a hearty meal
And listen to the restaurant sounds
We rejuvenate ourselves
Then pay for the order
And get ready to head back out
To cross a few more borders

The hours fly by everyday
As we drive the routes we choose
We can try to have a good day
Or we face the road time blues

So the road can be lonely
A truck an empty place
But some people we meet on the road
Can break up the daily pace
But there's some that don't like trucks
Or the people that live inside them
They should remember what we deliver
And the road is where many have died

The hours fly by everyday
As we drive the routes we choose
We can try to have a good day
Or we face the road time blues
