Rob Epifani - This Man

Talking 'bout this man that walks invisible
Talking 'bout this man who spoke Truth
No matter what your view of all the stories is
You gotta admit
He had uncanny knack, for words and action
For patience, and separating factions
Of broken people's hearts and forgiving wrong actions
Of stepping into darkness
Confronting all these leaders who were heartless
Capital vs. Marxist, but where was He?
Sowing seeds is what I'd say if you had asked me
He said He was the King of all and still He's washing feet
Down with the poor and woman who were scorned
Tax collectors, zealots, He was homeless in the streets
And yet
Crowds came together in the masses just to hear His teaching
People were thirsty for the life this man was preaching
And for a healing they were reaching, up to this man
And in a jam the faith-filled ran straight up to this man and said

You're the one the Father sent to save His people
You have the power and I've seen no one's your equal
I got this life that's falling out I'm slipping slowly
And in this desperation God I need you please to show me

And many times he did, the blind would see
The lame would walk,
Miraculous is what they said
It's straight from the mind of a little kid that's dreaming
About a man that comes along who's strong and gives the reason
The divine is what He claimed, that He clearly was from God
And not just from the realm beyond but fully Him in human body
Is it true?
The question of the ages
Nations and peoples been divided on world stages
What's the answer though?
We resort to forgetfulness
Or laziness to know what defines, the claims of history
And so now we get to sit with this mystery
That's deep, and simple at the same time
Let's rewind the clock
Approach the table humbly
And check out mental stock
I know the fog is deeper here
But light is what unlocks the mind
Right now you can't decided
If you care about enlightenment
But soon we'll understand
Why people at the time would say

You're the one the Father sent to save His people
You have the power and I've seen no one's your equal
I got this life that's falling out I'm slipping slowly
And in this desperation God I need you please to show me what's True
