23 Day - Self Condition

Feet up in a burning oasis
Eating amidst churning places
Luxury in an odyssey of modesty
Parade one's whereabouts
Turmoil one doesn't care about
As long as they're not without
Children are staring out
Car windows
Brisk pass
The blicks that blast
Transactions made quick fast
Shielded from the conditions
We're blamed for
Yet were created for us
I never saw a self governed
Slum
A poverty filled still
Accompaniment of saddened
Classical strings
Blackened back end
Of tragical things
And morose songs to sing
Watched like animals
In National Geographic
Look at its inhabitants
Tragic
Adiment to add
Your two cents on your expertise
On how they live and pay rent
Unexplained that the activity
Watched far removed is less than
1%

The fear remains
When close intrinsic peculiarity
Somewhat enamored
Applause for underachievement
Our woeful condition gauze
Windows tinted
View our self deprecating humor
With hilarity
Even though compared to her son
Jamal reads terribly
Then goes about her day merrily
They're bodies are fodder
BBC and twerking ass for the highest
Bidder scarily
Like an auction block
Look at the Simeon in Johnny's chain
He can't afford it but thank his God
He bought it cus' putting his daughter
Through college isn't as important
He remembers shopping at Morton's
Now he's buying Jordan's like it's an
Achievement
When we saw them impecunious
With bereavement
They weren't selfish consumerists
Now they're no different than ignorant
Rich government politicians

Perform for the men watching
On the balcony like the Muppets
Epbert and Roeper say bravo
For your illiterate couplets
Well I had all that I can stomach
Excuse myself of the auditioning
Of self conditioning
