Nikos Achilleus - Story Of A Young Boy

It is the story of a young boy
Who made a great large idol of him
Too heavy to handle
He made sure that it was complete

The idol would guide him
Through a world that it was so dim
With shadows and voices
And people with faces that looked strange to him

It was time that convince him
His physical form was not his true self
He was a fragment of the idol
Just a mere part of a larger whole being

Oh boy, can you believe it
If you go down this road
You'll only find misery

Sometimes the poets
Philosophers, thinkers and even the christs
Told him the same thing
He had to abandon the disgrace that he was

The boy from the west side
Created a god in the image of him
All of his flaws
Would magically vanish now once and for all

Oh boy, can you believe it
If you go down this road
You'll only find misery

Oh boy, will you believe it
If you go down this road
You'll only find misery

The idol was shiny
Standing strong under the light of the sun
Nothing would break it
But came the time that sun went away

The boy looked at the idol
Staring the ground under the light of the moon
A tear fell down from its cheek
Started to cry and scream for its pain

The pain of the idol
Was so great
He tried to devour the boy

The boy took a step back
And watched his god
Starting to collapse

The boy in terror
Embraced his creation
Trying to make it feel safe

A thousand pieces
Countless ruins
All came down on the boy

He couldn't bear it
He couldn't hold it
Now he lies under his self

He couldn't bear it
He couldn't hold it
Now he lies under his self
