Taye the Truth - Let's Talk About It

Let's talk about it, let's talk about it, aye
Let's talk about it, let's talk about it, aye
Let's talk about it, let's talk about it, aye
Let's talk about it, let's talk about it

What's going on in my head
Why do I feel like I'm always on edge
This can't be normal, I'm always upset
I have a feeling I might be depressed
But that's just my guess, I probably need help
All of this time I've relied on myself
Pride won't allow me to ask no one else
I can't continue to lie to myself

Well, I think I need therapy
I heard that admitting's the first step
For me, that's a rarity
I'm praying for clarity
As a man, I was raised to just thug it out
So I feel like I'm bugging out
I feel like I should just be able to toughen up
But that strength has been running out
Life has been moving too fast
I swear I can barely keep up
I honestly hope that I don't crash
Cause it can be gone in a flash
I'm not even buckled up
It seems like whenever I start to get it together
Then life throw an uppercut
Wish I was ready before I just had to jump in
Like I'm playing double dutch
Trying to keep holding my balance
Just got to remember to breathe
It's been like a whole other challenge
I'm trying to get on my feet
I don't want my heart to be callous
Or to be withered and weak
I either can do something about it
Or just continue to think

What's going on in my head
Why do I feel like I'm always on edge
This can't be normal, I'm always upset
I have a feeling I might be depressed
But that's just my guess
I probably need help
All of this time I've relied on myself
Pride won't allow me to ask no one else
I can't continue to lie to myself

Well, let's talk about it
Can't keep it bottled inside
Let's talk about it
I got to swallow my pride
Let's talk about it
Lord knows I tried
Let's talk about it
As much as I claim I'm alright
Let's talk about it, let's talk about it, aye
Let's talk about it, let's talk about it, aye
Let's talk about it, let's talk about it, aye
Let's talk about it, let's talk about it
