Kalbells - Red Marker

RED MARKER

one two three four
why do we have to go to war
five four three
i feel peaceful when i’m free
wandering around

there’s lichen on my castle walls
rotting by my waterfalls
so kiss my inner bouncy ball
ahh i wrote this story with red marker
and i’m in my element even though the skies are getting darker

the apples on my black dirt are black
i’m rotting and i’m never coming back the way you knew me then
chickens in a pen
danger don’t get starry in the eyes
too blind to see this purple invisible paradise
i think we might be in
when the story won’t begin i just breathe in

i tried this thing the other night
when fear and sadness held me tight
i cleared my mind and tried to draw the hills of my delight
rolling around

i know that we’re all scared right now
the pinch before the fertile plow
we’ll plow the world anew somehow
ahh i wrote this story with red marker
and we’re in our element even though the skies are getting darker

the apples on my black dirt are black
i’m rotting and i’m never coming back the way you knew me then
chickens in a pen
danger don’t get starry in the eyes
too blind to see this purple invisible paradise
i think we might be in
when the story won’t begin i just breathe in
danger don’t get starry in the eyes
too blind to see this purple invisible paradise
i think we might be in
when the story won’t begin i just breathe in
