Rick MacAllister - ON THE BEACH

The surf was up
The sky was blue
I saw a girl that I hardly knew
We hit the waves 'til the sun went down
The livin's easy in this laidback town

And we danced all night
Kereoked some of our favorite songs
And then we made love at the crack of dawn
When you're on the beach
Nothin' ever goes wrong

I have a shack near my favorite bar
And on the wall is an old guitar
Sometimes I play and I write a few words
Started a song about surfin' in Perth

And when the moon is bright
Lighting up the bay in the dark of the night
I never miss the city or cuttin' the lawn
When you're on the beach
Nothin' ever goes wrong

And when the day comes along
When I'm not young
And not so strong
I'll swat some flies in the breeze
And have some drinks
And smoke a stoagie
And find me a woman who's just like me

I got a boat and it's made out of wood
It got some leaks but it floats real good
Sometimes I fish by the old sandbar
Eat some dinner smoke a cigar
We got some tourists but there's never a lot
Cause on a map this town is barely a dot
They sometimes say that I'm living a dream
Then they return to the sitting machine

And at low or high tide
This little town don't have any bad vibes
I finally found were I've always belong
When you're on the beach nothin' ever goes wrong

On the beach nothin' ever goes wrong
On the beach nothin' ever goes wrong
On the beach nothin' ever goes wrong
On the beach nothin' ever goes wrong
