Sircus of Sound - All I Know of Snow

Water ice
Crystalline
All I know of snow
Eyes obscuring
White alluring
Drifting to and fro
Pale moonlight out
Total whiteout...snow!

Winter chill
Quiet and still
All I snow of snow
Silent now
Break the bough
Oak and mistletoe
Ancient rite
Solstice night...snow!

Soft, white
do bee do do...do do do, do bee do do...do do do
Drifting
do bee do do, do do do do bee do do, do do do
Soft, white
do bee do do...do do do, do bee do do...do do do
Drifting
do bee do do, do do do do bee do do, do do do
Snow
do bee do do, do do do, do bee do do, do do do

Winter trees
Feel the freeze
All I know of snow
Buried deep
In the earth
Nothing left to grow
Robin, blackbird
Redwing, crow...snow!

Winter man
Walk the earth
All he knows is snow
Dawn of time
God of rime
Season turning slow
Coat the land
With his chilly hand...snow!
Coat the land
With his chilly hand...snow!
Coat the land
With his chilly hand...snow!

Notes:
Long before the Christmas festivities became an established period in the Christian calendar, ancient peoples would celebrate the winter season, believing in an established natural order of things. The season would include symbolic sacrifices and pagan rituals to appease the gods of winter, hoping that in doing so, the coming year would yield a bountiful harvest and increased fertility for both the people and their livestock. The song also includes a lot of symbolism associated with the coldest season of all.
