A satyr preens, playing the pipes
The purest potions of pleasure imbibed
They start to blossom in her throat
Eyeing a fair nymph suckling a goat
The satyr stares, in a bowl held forth
A future vision, perhaps her death
Joining with nature, renewal, renown
Embrace the beast on a journey underground
No! She cries
Your vision makes no sense
It's just the death
Of my innocence
Naïveté
I renounce all of it
To this vague death
She will submit
Free fall
Katabasis has begun
With blood
And a dimming of the sun
Flee, fight
The war can't be undone
Rise up
Anabasis has been won
Feel the change
Something's different now
Was this arranged
Exhaustion takes her down
Bacchus watches, smiles, and turns a page
Hooded now, she nears the final stage
Under a sackcloth, a womb within a cage
An angel lurks, its face a mask of shame and rage
She kneels before the priestess, sublime
One figure whips her, another dance in time
Showing no pain, pass the final trial
Celebrations hide vengeance, with a smile
The rite is complete
Enthroned, the taste is sweet
All will bow and kneel
As thunder starts to peal
Mirror held forth
To reflect her majesty
Nature controlled
Her secret fantasy
She weeps from catharsis with
Complete apotheosis
Her passion, starts to overflow
Last laugh, the volcano blows
Magma flows out
Proclaiming nature's wrath
Consuming all
And everyone in its' path
