Curt McGurt - Reminiscing Butterfly

Butterfly landed in the palm of my hand, it's a good sign
Got a glass of Dom in my hand, that's the good wine
I can't do the Andres no more, that's the hood wine
But it take me back when I was broke and had some good times
Johnny Bootlegger and that Paul Masson
Back then I was in my brother 2000 Galant
Man we was so broke but somehow we still had some fun
All night in the studio until we see the sun
Only thing large was the dreams that we had
Tax time the only time that we would see a bag
Kept our spirits good, even though we we living bad
2 piece Tuesday special that's all we could go and grab
But we still stayed in the lab, put out Kewlade man it jam
Then we worked on $pitta Munchies gave it everything we had
Then my daughter came along, I'm so proud to be her dad
Man she really kept me going but depression kicked my ass
I was struggling inside, didn't know if I would last
I start drinking out the bottle I didn't even need a glass
Man that liquor slowed me down, cause my life was moving fast
I would drink 151 without no chaser it was bad
Worked the graveyard then I drove to school, trying not to crash
But I couldn't get my lesson, fell asleep in every class
Then I dropped out cause my car broke down, it's now way I could pass
Walked to work without no ride cause I had too much pride to ask
Worked at QT and at RaceTrac, I was really selling gas
Working doubles just to pay my bills it really had me gassed
But I still had dreams of being big from music in the stash
Took a leap of faith and quit my job and I was free at last
