BJ Suter - Backrow Baptist

You can't condemn me
My God has redeemed me
I'm more than forgiven I am cleansed he's providing me plenty
The cross is empty right along with the tomb so I'm knowing that his promises are even more true
Ain't have a clue, about the consequences if I went through
With some decisions sort of felt as if my fate really loomed
In every room I felt alone I sense the judgement and views
All the while they hide in costumes just pretending
I choose
To walk away and turn the cheek while they discuss me , amused
Its nothing new they talk about me like I'm some sorta muse
There's no excuse about the past or the arms of tattoos
They feel it's due, but I just laugh and let the gospel protrude
I can't elude who I was sometimes their comments are lewd I just failed to review because it means that their perception is skewed
I understand there's no exceptions to rules, still I refuse to be fooled by anyone who fails to approve
Let it be known, that God tells us that the greatest of commandments is love
These Backrow Baptist tend to gossip and judge
I'll hit the alter Lord just give me a nudge
In reality I might need a shove because I can feel their eyes on me I feel so out of touch
I kneel before you feeling dirty as mud
I know you'll cleanse me free from even a smudge
Never holding a grudge always holding my hand
Always lifting me up, never letting me down
So it's you that I trust
I raise my arms I'm praying hard I'm Praising God
Through it all through peaks and valleys cause life is hard
Through the scars the pain is deep can't disregard
Past judgment from others barbs it's those remarks
That linger far but carry with you with no regard
Packed away in in your mental log, you smile and nod
Cause they don't make you and cant define who you truly are
That only comes from the truest God I'm only planting seeds with every prayer that I spoke and
I just hope that you give water where it's needed for growth
I just pray your word can resonate throughout like a boat
And the hearts of those that's empty pray you fill until they float
I lean on you in times of need when I'm searching for hope
Don't give the jesters my attention keep my eyes on the throne
I know their stones can't dent the armor that's I've draped and have on
I know sometimes it's best to leave them where they lay and move on
Let it be known, that God tells us that the greatest of commandments is love
These Backrow Baptist tend to gossip and judge
I'll hit the alter Lord just give me a nudge
In reality I might need a shove because I can feel their eyes on me I feel so out of touch
I kneel before you feeling dirty as mud
I know you'll cleanse me free from even a smudge
Never holding a grudge always holding my hand
Always lifting me up, never letting me down
So it's you that I trust
