bLueslides - PRIDE // PROPHECY

Tryna write my condolences through these poems
Tryna make sure I reach you through all these songs
He was 12, held his brother as he watched him bleed out
There was blood in the water on that day, there's no doubt
I fucking loved you like a brother, that's really true
But you just killed another man, and that's on you
I know about the violence, and I'm used to the pain
I don't know if I could ever look at you the same
My dad told me today to let go of him, his job was to make sure I'm equipped
I know I'm a bitch, they prolly know that I'm a snitch
But I'd rather be weak than end up dead in a ditch
Dead, crumpled with the fam at the funeral
Rest in peace to z, he was a good man, didn't know him well
Didn't even get to live for a second
He didn't even get to meet all his grandkids
Was a good kid, fucked around a little
Loved his mom a lot, his dad used to hit him
Had a nice girl, and her name was Anna
He made one mistake, and got sent to the slammer
But he loved the music, and all the rap with it
Whoever thought this kid would end up in a casket?
He had the chance and time to be so much more
But now he lies six feet under this very floor
You killed my brother, man, shot him in the head
Was a good fucking kid, now he lays to rest dead
You took a soul for a block you don't own
Have some shame for yourself, I hope you spend your life alone
And when I see you in the darkest pits of hell
'Cause what I'm about to do to you? Oh well
And then he lifted up his jacket to reveal a gun
Then he took it out and aimed it at his very own son
Pulled the trigger, body crumpled, neighbors screaming in fear
And then he pointed it at himself, and soon it was clear
Thoughts running in his head, he could barely stay awake
And then he brought himself back before it was too late
Steadied himself, his hand tightened round the grip
When I die, I just hope the world will know me, bitch
Knew exactly in that moment what he needed to do
And then he killed himself with that ended his own life too
