Richard De Vries - Villagers

In the realm of blocks and hues,
A village lays beneath the blue.
Square sunsets, the night renews,
Villagers in their pixel shoes
Winding paths of cobblestone,
Iron golems stand alone.
Trading goods in silent tones,
Emeralds traded for what they own.

Farmer reaps, the wheat blooms gold,
Librarians' books, stories told.
Blacksmith hammers, brave and bold,
Crafting tools from days of old.
Zombies moan with sunset's grace,
The villagers hide, the quiet race.
Behind wooden doors, a secret place,
In blocky homes, they find their space.

Enderman roams, the creeper hiss,
But in this village, simple bliss.
Though shadows wander into the abyss,
By morning light, all is amiss.
Lanterns hang by every door,
Glowing gentle, evermore
Peaceful life, the core of lore,
In Minecraft's heart, the villagers soar
