3rd Grade Perspective - Nuk Au Neter

See water was the first mirror
[It] Embodied the subject, Detailed what is possessed
Clearer than [the] coastal sunsets, but confessed the truth
[you] Hid self from others, but still held your views
Confused when the fear resurfaced,
Thought it remained concealed, [but] continually guiding words ever since
Defense mechanism for the ego
Suffocated yourself to the extent that a needle would break
[any] Attempts to penetrate the barricade, [a] fair exchange
Your voice [was] received, then returned with a seed to change
But [you] lacked the courage of a farmer [and] wasn't ready
Accept responsibility
[the] waters were deep and heavy
Cycles repeated simply from the comfort of pain
Rain an inconvenience or [is it] a moment to cleanse your brain
Bacteria born from the solitude
[the] poison absorbed, [you] never learned how to transmute

"Where do we go when we die?
To the depths of the mind or the heights of the sky?
How do you navigate life?
[from] Whispers in the wind or Illusion of the eyes?
What is your purpose to survive?
[the] Passing of a torch or [you] have yet to decide?
When I [am] awake I ask why?
[when I] Go to school I ask why?"

Years flew quicker than the wind
[you] Rode the wave of distractions and people who pretend, [But] Didn't stop to be your friend
[you] Carried bags that weighed
Labeled resentment, regret, replay
[they] Kept you moving in place
Heard the whispers of how you were seen
Avoided confrontation [and] leaned on the image [that was] invented by false witnesses
Assumed the words as fact
Actions streamed through a lens that [only] sees the negative of blurred images
And worst yet, you internalized the blatant lies
Saw your person with a slanted eye, [your]self [then, is] disguised
Couldn't recognize the thoughts that defeated you were coming from within
Selflove wasn't feasible
So, as the age increased [your] health declines to match the mental state of defeat
[the] spirit was never factored, [so] you never met peace
Or understood love as the breath released

"Where do we go when we die?
To the depths of the mind or the heights of the sky?
How do you navigate life?
[from] Whispers in the wind or Illusion of the eyes?
What is your purpose to survive?
[the] Passing of a torch or [you] have yet to decide?
When I [am] hard at work I ask why?
[when I] lay to sleep I ask why?"

The storyline of "What Dreams May Come"
A narrative detailing the Afterlife brings some to fear
[you] Had the power to steer, but chose to let the wheel auto drive while focusing on the rear
All through my youth
the bible belt had me looking at death through a lens I couldn't use
[My] Perspective grew
[I] began to study and understand [the] necessity of those who moved
To the other side, [I] utilize their guidance
Calling on their names for the power that's inside us
Bernice Grady taught me techniques for research
I document and archive trying to please her
Richard Robinson Sr. showed the path of discipline I embedded in time, but couldn't see first
[I] Forever share a resemblance to Tony Gross
My uncle lived with darkness I may never know
All the same with my Uncle Joe Jr.
[I] Learned how we're kindred spirits "Ase"
[It is] so crucial when walking this journey of life
I view them all as Maa Kheru (true of voice), that's true of voice

Where do we go when we die?
To the depths of the mind or the heights of the sky?
How do you navigate life?
[from] Whispers in the wind or Illusion of the eyes?
What is your purpose to survive?
[the] Passing of a torch or [you] have yet to decide?
When I [am] awake I ask why?
[when I] Go to school I ask why? When I [am] hard at work I ask why? [when I] lay to sleep I ask why?
