Terry Pearson - Just for You (feat. Anne Cozean & Yeman Al-Rawi)

I wanted to write down a sad song
One that could bring a tear to your eye
And this feeling’s been lingering too long
In a place left without you, alone with this song
Hear this song, it’s not for singing, it’s written for me
Hear the words try to tell me you’re where you should be
And rhyming words, they always seem to be true
But then maybe this song was written for you... just for you
People change, you see it a lot
And there’re things that we're never meant to endure
Someone else has taken your heart
And I know it’s something he can’t give back to you
You know I won’t try and sway you to where you should be
I’ve been in your mind, it’s easy to see
You don’t want to go, but you just have to be free
That’s really the place you're needing to be... needing to be
So I sat down to write out this sad song
But the tear that it brought ran down from my eye
And this lingering feeling must stay on
In a place left without you, alone with this song... just for you
