Alisa Turner - The Window

The change has begun
Another season done
A new one to come

I’ve been inside for weeks
My body frail and weak
Ravaged by disease

But I’ve got this window right next to my bed
To keep an eye out for the changes ahead
To watch the rain fall, soon will come snow
There blows the wind, and deep down I know
If trees can die and come back to life
Then I think there’s hope for me too
But in the meantime
I’ll watch the world from my window view

If only I could see
The window fogged on me
I think it’s snowing

The kids are out to play
They look for me and wave
The highlight of my day

Is this window right next to my bed
To keep an eye out for the changes ahead
To watch the rain fall, soon will come snow
There blows the wind, and deep down I know
If trees can die and come back to life
Then I think there’s hope for me too
But in the meantime
I’ll watch the world from my window view

The neighbors are hanging lights
To make for a beautiful bright night
And I’ve got a front row seat
Don’t forget me

Here in this window right next to my bed
To keep an eye out for the changes ahead
To watch the rain fall, soon will come snow
There blows the wind, and deep down I know
If trees can die and come back to life
Then I think there’s hope for me too
But in the meantime
I’ll watch the world from my window view
